Our Breast Care Center has been recognized for excellence by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a quality-assurance program administered by the American College of Surgeons. The NAPBC certification is granted only to breast centers who voluntarily commit to the highest standard of care and undergo a rigorous evaluation of their treatment process.
5-Star Award Winner
The 5-Star Award is given annually to healthcare facilities, providers, outpatient service lines and inpatient units that score in the top 10 percent (at or above the 90th percentile) in PRC's national client database for the prior calendar year. These awards are based on the percentage of patients who answer "Excellent" for the Overall Quality of Care question.

We received a Partnership for Patients Award from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid by reducing early elective deliveries before 39 weeks gestation.

Methodist Jennie Edmundson was recognized by the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative and Partnership for Patients as one of the hospitals leading the way in assuring safe care for moms and their babies by reducing the hospital's early induction rate to zero. Obstetricians and their offices educated women about the risks of early delivery by induction and assisted them in making the right decision to wait to deliver until after 39 weeks.

All Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital CT scanners are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR awards accreditation to facilities that achieve high practice standards. The program also evaluates personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs.
Breast Imaging Center of Excellence
Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). By awarding facilities the status of a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, the ACR recognizes breast imaging centers that have earned accreditation in mammography, breast MRI, stereotactic breast biopsy and breast ultrasound (including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy).
Outstanding Achievement for Cancer Care - American College of Surgeons
The only nationally accredited cancer program in southwest Iowa, Methodist Jennie Edmundson was honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award by the American College of Surgeons.
