Methodist Physicians Clinic is open for business and fully operational. Now and always, we’re by your side as your health care partners. We know you have questions, and we know you have fears. How We’re Keeping You Safe
Methodist Physicians Clinic has continued to see patients both in the office and through Telehealth virtual visits throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. As we embark on a journey to our “new normal,” we assure you that we’ll continue to take steps to ensure your safety when you visit one of our facilities. Our precautions include:
- We are following all CDC guidelines.
- Our providers and staff will continue wearing masks, and we encourage you to bring your own mask to an appointment. If you don’t have a mask, we’ll provide one for you.
- We’ll continue screening all individuals entering our facilities for COVID-19 symptoms.
- We’ve established dedicated respiratory clinics for those patients with respiratory and/or COVID-19 symptoms. We’ll continue seeing our patients with acute respiratory illness concerns through either Telehealth visits or these respiratory clinics. This ensures an added level of safety for all patients coming into our clinics.
We want to reassure you that it’s never been safer to come to Methodist Physicians Clinic for your care. That being said, if you don’t feel comfortable physically coming to a clinic, that’s OK. We understand. Most of our providers are now able to conduct Telehealth virtual appointments, which allow you to interact with your provider from home, work or wherever you may be.
How You Can Keep Yourself Safe
Your health is of the utmost importance to our care teams at Methodist. One of the best ways to stay healthy is to have your annual preventative exam. This is how we identify early risk factors for your health and intervene as quickly as possible. It also gives us the ability to make sure all your vaccines are up-to-date. Your annual exam is the best way to prevent disease, and it allows us to be proactive in managing chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, lung disease and heart disease.
If you’ve delayed your annual exam due to COVID-19 concerns, please call your provider to get one scheduled. We’re facing many unknowns – including how long the pandemic will last. Don’t wait out the storm only to risk missing or delaying the diagnosis of a health concern or chronic disease.
Your Whole Health
Mental and emotional health have been challenged during the COVID-19 pandemic as well. Family and friends have been forced to socially distance to protect one another, and many people are socially isolated as a result. At Methodist Physicians Clinic, we care about more than just your physical health. If you’re struggling, please talk to us.
I cannot reiterate enough: We are here for you. Your provider can help you find resources and counseling. You can also call the Methodist Emotional Support Line at (402) 815-8255 (TALK). Licensed professional counselors are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to talk to you about feelings of fear, anxiety, sadness and depression, and to refer you to further counseling and community resources.
