Quadruplets Born at Methodist Women's Hospital for First Time Since 2017

On April 30, via emergency cesarean section, Maria and Joseph Sawaged welcomed Luca, Julianna, Barrett and Tychus the first set of quadruplets born at Methodist Women's Hospital since 2017 and the fourth since the hospital opened in 2010. The four bundles of joy arrived two months before their June 25 due date.

  • Luca Samuel: 3 pounds, 11 ounces, born at 10:36 a.m., discharged June 4
  • Julianna Sophia: 2 pounds, 12 ounces, born at 10:38 a.m., discharged June 2
  • Barrett Eli: 3 pounds, 11 ounces, born at 10:40 a.m., discharged May 23
  • Tychus Cole: 3 pound, 7 ounces, born at 10:41 a.m., discharged May 23

On June 14, Maria and Joseph spoke with media from their home about their fertility struggles and what it's been like to care for four newborns at the same time.
