What Parents Need To Know About the COVID-19 Vaccine for Kids

The Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention may soon approve the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5-11.

But many parents, grandparents guardians still have questions about safety, side effects and other topics.

Methodist Physicians Clinic Regency pediatrician Natalie Fleming, MD, was among the local health officials speaking to KETV about the expected approval of the vaccine.

Her main point to parents? 

“If we have a vaccine that can prevent the death of a child, we should be using it.”
