KMTV: CEO of Nebraska Health Network Talks Health Care
Published: March 10, 2015After spending a dozen years moving up the ranks at Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Lee Handke is about to take the reins as the first C-E-O of Nebraska Health Network, an alliance between Nebraska Medicine and Methodist Health System.
His goal :" to deliver quality high value care that focuses on quality and costs. The difference is we are locally owned and operated. "
Nebraska Medicine and Methodist actually joined forces in 2010 creating what they call An Accountable Care Organization. It has 1300 providers, 300 primary care physicians ans six hospitals. Handke said, " physicians across the system will be partnering together to improve that care."
