After spending a dozen years moving up the ranks at Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Lee Handke is about to take the reins as the first C-E-O of Nebraska Health Network, an alliance between Nebraska Medicine and Methodist Health System.

His goal :" to deliver quality high value care that focuses on quality and costs.  The difference is we are locally owned and operated. "

Nebraska Medicine and Methodist actually joined forces in 2010 creating what they call An Accountable Care Organization.  It has 1300 providers, 300 primary care physicians ans six hospitals. Handke said, " physicians across the system will be partnering together to improve that care."

Craig Nigrelli of KMTV sat down with Lee to talk about the health care landscape in Omaha and the impact NHN will have on the market.
