Methodist Physicians Clinic Papillion Welcomes Dr. Aabida
Published: Aug. 1, 2019OMAHA – Whether she’s seeing children or adults, performing a routine checkup or helping a patient with a health issue, Dr. Afeera Aabida loves the variety that comes with being a family medicine physician.
“It’s a very rewarding profession,” she said. “At the end of the day, when you’re doing something good and you get some gratitude and a great smile from a patient, that’s what I like.”
Dr. Aabida has joined the staff at Methodist Physicians Clinic Papillion. She specializes in Nexplanon contraception implants and occupational health appointments for DOT physicals and worker’s compensation claims.
Dr. Aabida previously practiced at LifeCare Family Medicine in Bellevue, Nebraska, and All Care Health Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She also has experience as an urgent care physician and hospitalist.
She completed her medical training and was an internal medicine resident at the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar, India. She was a family medicine resident at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
She’s is excited to join the Methodist team and deliver The Meaning of Care.
“It means going above and beyond for the patient, delivering high-quality care,” she said.
That starts with building relationships and trust with patients.
“When a patient puts their trust into you for the first time, you try to work hard to keep up with that trust and keep up with those expectations,” she said.
