Nebraska, Iowa Mayors Join Forces for Child Abuse Project

Blue and silver pinwheels spin in the chilly wind on Saturday morning.

These pinwheels decorated the sidewalks leading up to the Bob Kerry pedestrian bridge connecting Nebraska and Iowa.

Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert and Council Bluffs Mayor Matt Walsh joined together in the middle the  bridge to proclaim the month of April Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Community agencies, including the Shaken Baby Task Force, were among those who coordinated the event to raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention Month.
