Omaha Lifestyles: Prostrate Cancer Survivors Heal Through Sharing

Published: Sept. 29, 2015

On the first Thursday of every month, a group of men gathers at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center. They're not there for treatment. They are prostate cancer survivors, and they are there to talk.

"its a safe place, in a safe setting that provides them an opportunity to open up and share," said Kevin Keeley, CMSW, LMHP, a behavioral health counselor at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center.

The support group and treatment of prostate cancer were discussed by Keeley and Dr. Ralph Hauke in the September issue of Omaha Lifestyles 50+.
