Pamela Menard, LIMHP

Pamela Menard, MA, LIMHP, is a counselor with the Methodist Hospital Community Counseling Program. She enjoys the variety of clients she serves and has special interests in helping young people with personal growth, decision-making, goal setting, behavior modification, career development and relationship improvement.

“It feels good to help people improve their lives,” Menard said. “Seeing the potential in each individual and helping them see it in themselves is incredibly rewarding.”

The most memorable part of her career? Witnessing the newfound self-esteem, confidence, and interpersonal skills of an eighth-grade boy after helping him turn his grades around; from F’s into  A’s with one B. Menard was able to help him find a passion in designing shoes and pursuing it as a career. It was a catalyst for changing his attitude toward school and interactions with staff and peers.

“I want my clients to know that the therapeutic skills and techniques they acquire can be applied to the whole family,” she said. “They can be used in the future as well as today.”
