Health Career Exploration Camp
Note: This is a two-day event that meets from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on June 26 & 27
Event Description
Are you a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in High School interested in a health care career but are unsure of what area you might be interested in? The Methodist Fremont Health Career Exploration Camp might just be what you are looking for to help you discover the path that is right for you. This camp is an opportunity for high school students to participate in hands‐on simulated activities and interact with allied health care professionals. Our goal is to generate an awareness and interest in many health care career choices such as radiology, pharmacy, physical therapy, nursing and more.
Who Should Attend: Area High School Students entering grades 10-12 interested in a career in health care. Parents/Guardians encouraged to participate in Q & A session at 3:30 on June 27th.
What to Expect: In addition to lecture, students should expect:
- Facility Tours
- Fun Group Activities
- Interactive Learning Experiences
- Hands‐on Activities
- A Round Table and Q & A Session with Staff for Attendees and their Parents/Guardians to Learn About Scholarship, Volunteer, Shadowing Opportunities and College Preparation
- Lunch and Snacks Provided
Applications will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. Enrollment is limited to 30 students.
