Improving the Health of Our Communities
Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Omaha, Methodist Health System is the area's first nonprofit health care system. From the day Methodist Hospital was chartered in 1891, service to our communities has been a top priority. Financial assistance, health education, outreach to our diverse communities and populations and other community benefit activities have always been central to our mission.
Our community benefit programs are strategically focused to accomplish the following objectives:
- Improve access to health care services
- Enhance the health of the community
- Advance medical or health care knowledge
- Relieve or reduce the burden of government or other community efforts
