Methodist Health System is proud to offer a limited number of lung cancer screening appointments in conjunction with National Lung Cancer Screening Day.
Screening Information
A limited number of appointments for low-dose computed tomography (CT) scans are available on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha and Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

Appointment times vary by location. Methodist Jennie Edmundson will offer morning appointments and Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center will offer appointments in the morning and afternoon.
Screening Eligibility
Annual screenings lung cancer screenings using low-dose CT scans are recommended for people who:
- Are 50-80 years old
- Are asymptomatic (have no signs or symptoms of lung cancer)
- Currently smoke or have quit within the past 15 years
- Have a 20 pack-year smoking history (one pack per day for 20 years or two packs per day for 10 years, etc.)
