Clinical Nurse Educator - Mother/Baby GYN
Cathy Stoltz, BSN, IBCLC, LCCE, is a clinical nurse educator with the Methodist Women’s Hospital Outreach program.
Her passion for perinatal care began with the births of her four children and grew through years of supporting new parents as a childbirth educator, lactation consultant and nurse.
“From the beginning, I knew I was called to care for women and growing families during one of the most important seasons of their lives,” she said.
As a Maternal and GYN Clinical Nurse Educator, Stoltz provides education, training and mentorship to nurses across the region. Her clinical interests include breastfeeding support and perinatal bereavement care.
“My goal is to provide the ‘why’ behind evidence-based bedside care, empowering nurses to provide exceptional care for women and families,” she said.
In 2025, Stoltz – who earned degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Iowa Western Community College and Nebraska Methodist College – received Methodist’s Clinical Excellence Award and the Nebraska Hospital Association Caring Kind Award.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her growing family. She and her husband, a meteorologist, occasionally enjoy storm-chasing adventures together.
