Free Car Seat Checks on May 14 at Methodist Women’s Hospital

With all the different car seat options on the market and evolving car seat laws, parents sometimes need an extra boost to make sure their kids are safe.
That’s why Methodist Women’s Hospital is hosting a special event on Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to noon. Experts will give your car seat a safety check to make sure your children are buckled in tight and right.
Parents from across the region – no matter where their babies were born or the age of their children – are welcome to have their car seats inspected. The checks will be led by Methodist nurses and staff at who have been through a special certification course in car seat safety.
Our experts will make sure that car seats and bases are installed in cars correctly, and there’s a very strict criteria for safety. They’ll also teach parents how to safely install seats in their cars themselves.
No appointments are necessary for the event. Each seat inspection will take about 30 minutes. If possible, bring your children along to help out. Current and expecting parents are welcome.
