Accountant Continues Fight Against Cancer as Volunteer

Even though her cancer has been in remission for nearly a decade, Pat Andersen has never stopped battling the disease.

A longtime Council Bluffs-Omaha accountant, Pat has experienced both sides of the fight against breast cancer – first as a patient, then as a donor, advocate, and serving on the Jennie Edmundson Foundation board of directors, as a dedicated officer, volunteer and fundraiser.

Her support for the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Breast Health Center is wholehearted. “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care,” she said. “‘Jennie cares’ is more than a slogan; it’s how they treat everyone.”

Pat Anderson's passion toward the cancer fight echoes the importance of he current Jennie Edmundson capital campaign in this Daily Nonpareil report.
