Bald and Brave Event Off to Good Start

The Jennie Edmundson Hospital Foundation raised $23,491 through its Bald & Brave events in June, an official said Tuesday.

The money will go to the hospital’s Spirit of Courage Charitable Patient Care Fund, which assists cancer patients who need help paying for treatment, medication, transportation or living expenses, said Tara Slevin, vice president of development and volunteer services at Jennie.

The Bald & the Brave is off to a good start,” she said.
