Breaking Down Myths Surrounding HIV, AIDS

For nearly 30 years, HIV and AIDS have been shrouded in myths and misconceptions.

Charlie Sheen's public announcement last week that he is HIV positive is bringing the once-taboo subject back into the spotlight.

In Nebraska, about 2,500 people are HIV positive. Shane Lindstrom is one of those people. 

Shane and his physician, Methodist Physician Clinic Infectious Disease specialist Dr. Rudy Kotula, dispelled some of the myths and how living with HIV has changed, with KETV reporter Jobeth Devera.
