The Caring Kind awards: 3 Methodist staff members honored by the Nebraska Hospital Association
Published: Nov. 10, 2025
The Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) recently recognized several Nebraska hospital employees – including three Methodist Health System staff members – for their exemplary service to health care by bestowing them with the organization’s prestigious The Caring Kind award.
The Methodist honorees are:
- Rochelle Swanson, a nurse coordinator in the Ortho/Neuro Unit at Methodist Hospital
- Cathy Stoltz, a registered nurse in OB/GYN at Methodist Women’s Hospital
- Jacy Ludwig, a registered nurse in the Behavioral Health Unit at Methodist Fremont Health
For 46 years, The Caring Kind award has recognized Nebraska's most caring and compassionate health care heroes. The award honors outstanding health care employees who have demonstrated compassion for patients, cooperation with co-workers and dedication to excellence in their job responsibilities.
Hospitals across the state chose one The Caring Kind award recipient from their respective facilities. Award winners were recognized at a special luncheon as part of the NHA Annual Convention last month. More than 2,800 caring, skilled, dedicated health care professionals have received this award since its inception in 1979.
