CHI Cutting Valet Service, Methodist Plans to Stay the Course

Termination of the service at Lakeside Hospital, Immanuel Medical Center, Midlands Hospital in Papillion and Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs reflects the medical system’s commitment to cost reduction.
Matt Shaw, public safety director at Methodist, said the system has no plans to stop its valet service. People like it, Shaw said through a written statement, and valet attendants “have been a driving force” in helping people negotiate walkways and avoid falls and injuries.
