Doctor Pitner Joins Career Day Festivities in Elkhorn

Wrapping dozens of wiggling kindergarten fingers in vividly colored casts is not the easiest task for even the most seasoned physician.

Yet with the help of an experienced and good-natured medical staff, Methodist Health System’s Dr. Mark Pitner recently accomplished the feat in mere minutes, during a visit to Hillrise Elementary School’s kindergarten classes near the end of the 2015-16 school year.

Students who might otherwise be frightened of the idea of having a cast molded to their arm or leg were put at ease during the visit from Dr. Pitner, an orthopedic physician who visited the kindergartners during the school’s career day celebration on May 3.
