Electrophysiologist Dr. Ugur Kucuk joins Methodist Physicians Clinic cardiology group
Published: Oct. 20, 2026Ugur Kucuk, MD, has always been interested in science, but patient interaction is what attracted him to a career in medicine. He takes pride in listening to patients, not giving up on them and explaining things clearly.
“Arrhythmia patients often arrive scared and exhausted from being dismissed or under-treated,” said Dr. Kucuk, an electrophysiologist at Methodist Physicians Clinic - Westroads Office Park. “I make sure they leave the first visit understanding exactly what's happening in their heart and what their options are.”
He believes that one of the most rewarding and unique parts of electrophysiology is the ability to offer cures.
“We’re dealing with chronic conditions that require chronic medications,” Dr. Kucuk said. “With cutting-edge technology, we can offer ablation treatments that can be a cure for some rhythm problems. Patients can stop their medications and live symptom-free.”
To him, The Meaning of Care means that the needs of patients always come first.
“It’s a daily reminder that care isn’t just what we do, but who we do it for.”
