It's Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Get Checked

September is national prostate cancer awareness month.

This year alone, more than 180,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.

In fact, one in seven men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. That's about the same as the number of women who will get breast cancer.

But while breast cancer awareness month takes over October, prostate cancer awareness is hardly thought of in September.

Dr. Ralph Hauke, an oncologist with Nebraska Cancer Specialists has a theory.
