Jennie Ed Sports Medicine Holds Training Exercise

Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital Sports Medicine's team hosted a hands-on training session at Gale Wickersham Stadium in Council Bluffs on Wednesday.
The Council Bluffs Fire Department, athletic trainers and coaches practiced response skills in emergency situations.
"These emergency situations inevitably do come up during sports seasons. It's really great that we have such a wonderful partnership with Council Bluffs fire and rescue and that they are willing to come out and practice with us," said lead trainer Rollie Hardies. "The skills we practiced on the field specifically were treatment of fractures and dislocations, spinal injuries and the care for an unconscious, unresponsive athlete."
