Congratulations to Stephanie Hand, a registered nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital, for being honored with The DAISY Award. Her nominator wrote:
“The extraordinary care given to my sister is greatly noticed and appreciated. From taking time to explain things and slowing down because she can’t move very well, to laughing at her weird sense of humor and how she deals with her rapid health deterioration from her chemotherapy and now severe heart issue. Being able to be a nurse that can be a caregiver, short-time friend, someone to vent to and be so understanding, and the shoulder a patient needs at that specific time of night is amazing. You were all that and more for my sister in her time of need. Please always remain being yourself, and keep doing the tremendous care you give your patients.”
