Did you know that infants are born with 100 billion neurons in their brains, but the wiring connecting them is not in place? It is ESSENTIAL to provide language and interaction to allow the brain to connect those synapses.

You are invited to learn about "The Importance of Language in Early Childhood" at the next Science Café on Tuesday, April 14, 6 – 7 p.m., at Barley’s Bar and Grill, 114 W. Broadway in Council Bluffs. Free pizza is available.

This Science Café will feature Diane Herzog, Children's Librarian for the Council Bluffs Library.

Co-sponsored by Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital, The Daily Nonpareil and Barley’s, Science Cafés are casual, face-to-face conversations on current issues led by a doctor, scientist or professional in the field.
