Published: Aug. 10, 2026
Methodist Fremont Health's newly remodeled cardiac catheterization lab opened Aug. 10.
The $2.2 million investment is designed to expand access to the same advanced cardiovascular care that Methodist is known for – now closer to home for those living in Fremont and surrounding areas.
The renovation marks the cath lab's first major update since 2009 and includes:
- Advanced cardiovascular, circulatory and vascular monitoring systems
- A new contrast injector
- An integrated intravascular ultrasound system
- New surgical lighting and gas boom technology
- Remodeled and enhanced staff workspaces
The cath lab supports a wide range of lifesaving and minimally invasive procedures, including diagnostic heart catheterizations, coronary and vascular angioplasty and stenting, pacemaker and ICD implantations, interventional radiology procedures, cardioversions, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
