Health care is very reliant on information technology (IT) – not only to provide patient care but also to protect the multiple data systems from cybersecurity incidents.

For the fifth straight year, Methodist Health System has been recognized by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) Digital Health Most Wired Survey.

“We take our IT practices very seriously at Methodist,” said Kent Sona, vice president and chief information officer for Methodist Health System. “Our team is constantly looking at advancements in technology that positively impact our patient care and cybersecurity efforts. Protecting our organization while providing outstanding patient care is always our top priority.”

Methodist earned a Level 8 achievement in acute and ambulatory sectors. Award winners – from early-stage adopters to industry leaders – are chosen by their adoption, integration and impact of technologies.
