“Aubrey is so deserving of The DAISY Award. She truly cares! My husband and I had girl/boy twins in October 2024, and our son passed away at 12 hours old. Aubrey showed up before her shift and stayed hours after her shift while we were there — loving on our boy, taking care of me, talking to us and checking in, and she spent a whole day making us hand and feet molds of our boy and taking his hand and feet prints. She loved on him so much — even after he had passed — and that’s something I’ll never forget. They all made him known and loved. They acknowledged him. They said his name. She and her coworkers came to his funeral, and it was the best surprise that day, given our pain. She’s an extraordinary nurse who deserves this award so much!! She went above and beyond for us, and we felt the love. She even texted and called my mom for us to update her. She took all the weight off our shoulders, and for that we are forever grateful. There are no words that will ever express how truly grateful we are.”
