The “Nurses: The Heart of Health Care” recognition program honors area nurses who go above and beyond to deliver compassionate care.

This year’s program celebrates nurses who put others first and have made a significant impact in their community and on their patients – in unprecedented times and with the continued strain of COVID-19. Four Methodist Health System nurses were honored this year.

Facilitated by the Omaha World-Herald and the Daily Nonpareil, the program is sponsored by Iowa Western Community College, RTG Medical, Methodist Health System and Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital.
