Methodist offers team approach to concussion treatment

High School sports are underway and special helmets for Metro football players have been well publicized. Early detection of concussions is the hope – but what’s the treatment plan for those football, soccer or volleyball players who suffer a concussion?

Methodist Hospital has a unique team approach for treating such a diagnosis combining occupational therapy, speech therapy and physical therapy.

From the debilitating headaches, sensitivity to light, cognition – you name it – someone with a concussion can struggle through multiple issues.
