Methodist volunteers bring smile to homeowner

Ninety-year-old Johnnie Gilliam thought this day would never come.

"Every time I would fill out the form they would tell me it's too much house, it's too much house, it's too much house," Gilliam said.

For more than a decade, she's applied to get her house painted through Brush Up Nebraska.

"He said, 'We looked back through and we've seen that you've filled one out every year.' He said, 'You have not missed one year filling out the paper." I said, 'No,'" Gilliam said.

Volunteers from Methodist Health System helped Gilliam's request come true.
