Methodist welcomes Dr. Christopher "Ke" Arkfeld to its Reproductive Health Specialists team

Published: Aug. 31, 2026

Christopher “Ke” Arkfeld, MD, was introduced to medicine at an early age by his father, a physician, but his path to becoming a doctor himself wasn’t a direct one.

Initially studying business with plans to work in healthcare administration, he discovered his true passion after becoming an EMT in college and experiencing firsthand the impact of patient care. That experience inspired him to pursue a career focused on supporting patients through some of life’s most meaningful and challenging moments.

“If you can give patients hope or a path toward building their family, it’s incredibly rewarding,” said Dr. Arkfeld, a reproductive endocrinologist who sees patients at the Methodist Women’s Hospital Medical Office Building.

His clinical interests include infertility, fertility preservation, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), reproductive surgery and complex reproductive genetics. He values offering surgical and fertility treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs.

Dr. Arkfeld believes in providing honest, evidence-based and cost-effective care. He takes time to educate each of his patients, answer their questions and ensure that they feel like active partners in their treatment journey.

“It’s a privilege to take care of these patients,” he said. “I want them to know I’ll be present, available, part of their team and in their corner every step of the way.”

An Omaha native, Dr. Arkfeld said that returning to Methodist Women’s Hospital felt like coming home. He was inspired by the exceptional care he witnessed there as a medical student and is proud to be part of a team dedicated to providing the best, most comprehensive care possible for women and families across the region.

His promise to his patients is simple: to listen, educate and provide thoughtful care built on trust and evidence.

Outside of work, Dr. Arkfeld enjoys spending time with his wife and their children. Together, they love cooking, trying new recipes, gardening and spending time outdoors.
