Methodist Women's Hospital debuts NICU expansion

Published: Sept. 13, 2017

The demand and the desire to offer high-quality neonatal care to more families in the region ignited an effort in 2015 to expand the current Methodist Women’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) space to 51 private beds and also provide a private family lounge for parents to relax and rest during their baby’s stay.

That $19.3 million project has been completed and will begin caring for patients on Sept. 18.

The 14,000 square foot expansion includes 13 single rooms and five rooms for multiples.
