Mom Who Coded During Delivery Thanks Methodist Team

Kaylee and Mike Gillespie welcomed their baby boy at Methodist Women's Hospital in December. The scheduled C-section seemed to go perfectly. Baby Shay was healthy, but moments later things changed for Kaylee.

"When they had brought him over, I could see she was glossy. And at that very moment, the anesthesiologist looked up and said, 'We have a huge problem,'" Mike recalled, describing the moment before he was ushered out of the room.

Mike remembers a range of thoughts running through his head. He wasn't sure if his wife was going to survive.

Suddenly, Methodist providers were on a mission to save Kaylee.
