NET: The Power of "Positivity"

Published: April 6, 2015

Science is showing that the power of positivity is reaping great rewards when it comes to cancer treatment. Patients, nurses and doctors who approach care with a positive outlook tend to see more positive results.

Cheryl Stevens is a cancer survivor who decided to give back after her treatment.

She formed a group called the "Flamingos" who visit Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center each month delivering treats, laughs and a positive distraction from the aggressive cancer drugs that most of the patients are plugged in to.

Cheryl's cancer journey was profiled on the NET segment titled "Living With Cancer in Nebraska".
