Omaha Nurse a True Blessing

A nurse is a nurse wherever she goes, wherever she can help — on her hospital floor, on mission trips to Africa or on an airplane.

That trifecta describes recent experiences of Omaha native Alicia Abboud, 29.

This is an appropriate time to thank all nurses — Thursday was the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, and last week was National Nurses Week.
