Therapy pool at HealthWest is a dream come true

Heather Roberts was diagnosed with brain cancer in April of 2008 and from that day forward she never let her diagnosis get her down. In July of that same year, Heather and her family launched Leap-for-a-Cure, a non-profit organization determined to raise awareness and funds for brain cancer as well as research dollars.

Through partnerships with UNO and Lancer hockey and other initiatives, Leap-for-a-Cure has raised more than $850,000.

On Heather's wish list from the very beginning was an aquatic therapy pool and on Monday her wish was fulfilled, as members of the Roberts family and Methodist Health System dedicated the new pool at Methodist Physicians Clinic HealthWest.
