Twitter Chat Event Unites Partners To End Violence

Methodist Hospital was the site for the 4th Annual Sexual Assault Awareness Month Twitter Chat, which drew community partners, law enforcement and members of the media from across the Metro.

The event, held to raise awareness, provide education and prevention tips related to sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking.

The number of reported cases of sex assault in the metro continues to grow. Methodist Hospital's Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners say they had 314 cases last year, 119 more than in 2014.
