Young Woman Recovering After Stroke

Katie Owen doesn’t recall much about the morning of Sept. 4.

That day, the Fremont resident planned to take her 11-year-old son, Austin, to school at Johnson Crossing Academic Center.

She had a bad headache, but the 37-year-old single mom was a chronic migraine sufferer.

Katie was taken by rescue squad to Methodist Fremont Health where she was seen by Dr. James Sullivan.
