Legal guardianship and Power of Attorney for Health Care are often used interchangeably, but they serve different roles. We’ll define the differences, discuss the legal requirements for each and provide tools to help you advocate with confidence.

All caregivers are invited to attend Care Partner Connection: A series of free educational opportunities created specifically to address the unique challenges caregivers face every day. This program is available to anyone currently caring for a loved one in the hospital, in their own home or in a care facility.

Sessions are offered on the first and third Tuesday in June, July and August at noon. Attendees can join in person or virtually. In-person classes are held in the Latacha Education Center, located on the 9th floor of Methodist Hospital’s south tower. Sessions will include the following topics:
