Childbirth Education - Two-Part Class - Jennie Edmundson

Classes are held in the Women and Newborn Conference Room, which is located on the 5th floor of Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

NOTE: This is a 2-week course that meets at the same time for 2 weeks, starting on the day you register for.

Class Description

Prepare for the birth of your baby by exploring comfort techniques for labor, the importance of labor support and learning how to care for your newborn.  Through education, women are able to make informed decisions about their birthing experiences.  This class includes "Breastfeeding Basics" and a tour of Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital. At this time we ask that patients and their support person wear a mask upon entering the hospital. 

We recommend that you schedule your class so that it will end approximately 1 month prior to your due date. Registration will be closed 1 week prior to the class date so please register in advance.

Before the classroom portion, we will tour the unit. Upon entering the hospital at the main entrance, take the H elevator to Women and Newborns on the 5th floor. Women and Newborns conference room is located to right of the elevator. A staff member will meet you for Childbirth Education.
