Nurse Returns to Pro Bowling After Working on COVID-19 Front LinesPublished: March 29, 2021
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us have given up hobbies and even passions in order to stay safe. One local nurse says that after more than a year, she’s finally able to step into her other role again as a professional bowler.
Erin McCarthy started bowling in childhood, played through her college years and for the past six years has been bowling with the Professional Women’s Bowling Association.
It’s a passion that fills her time when she’s not working as a nurse and caring for COVID-19 patients at Methodist Hospital and Nebraska Medicine. But after the tour was canceled in 2020, McCarthy was able to start bowling again in January.
