3 Methodist Staff Members Honored With 2023 Caring Kind Awards
Published: Nov. 6, 2023The Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) recently recognized 80 Nebraska hospital employees – including three Methodist Health System staff members – for their exemplary service to health care by bestowing them with the organization’s prestigious The Caring Kind award.
The Methodist honorees are:
- Tracy Moore, a labor and delivery nurse at Methodist Fremont Health
- Kim Ware, a birth certificate clerk at Methodist Women's Hospital
- Jerry Miller, a lead nutrition service technician at Methodist Hospital
For 44 years, The Caring Kind award has recognized Nebraska's most caring and compassionate health care heroes. The award honors outstanding health care employees who have demonstrated compassion for patients, cooperation with coworkers and dedication to excellence in their job responsibilities.
“This award demonstrates the tremendous amount of kindness, caring, dedication and commitment these individuals make to their hospitals,” said NHA President Jeremy Nordquist. “The Caring Kind award is a celebration of our Nebraska health care heroes and the extraordinary work they do each and every day to deliver quality patient care in all of our Nebraska hospitals.”
Hospitals across the state chose one Caring Kind award recipient from their respective facilities. Award winners were recognized at a special luncheon as part of the NHA Annual Convention on Oct. 27, at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in La Vista. More than 2,800 caring, skilled, dedicated health care professionals have received this award since its inception in 1979.
