Certified nurse-midwife Desiree Hericks, MSN, CNM, RNC-OB, C-EFM, became interested in health care at an early age. 

“My sister got really sick with meningitis when we were very little,” she said. “From that point on, I knew medicine was what I was going to do.”

Hericks sees patients at Methodist Physicians Clinic Women’s Center in Council Bluffs. A former labor and delivery nurse for Methodist, she is certified in inpatient obstetrics and electronic fetal monitoring.
