Cancer survivors find support through art at Methodist workshop
Published: Jan. 16, 2026
Gynecologic cancer survivors and those currently fighting the disease are finding a supportive community at Methodist's Women's Cancer Workshop, where they express their feelings through reading, writing and art in a "safe space."
"You're not alone. So that's amazing. And like I said, I have a huge support, friends, family. And then I have these people that are, you know, it's it's just it's nice to know that you have someone in your court," said Julie Ransdell, one of the group's first participants.
The group meets on the first and third Thursday of every month from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center.
