Council Bluffs hospitals and first responders conduct major emergency drill

Two Council Bluffs hospitals – including Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital – hosted a large-scale disaster drill, testing community readiness in potential mass casualty events.

"They allow us as hospitals to ensure that we're as prepared as we possibly can be when emergencies happen," said Dave Burd, president and CEO of Jennie Edmundson. "From our perspective, it's not a matter of if they happen; it's a matter of when they're going to happen."
