Diane Millea Recognized With Creighton University Alumni Merit AwardPublished: Feb. 22, 2019
Diane Millea, a 1977 and 2011 graduate of the Creighton University College of Nursing, was recently recognized with the University’s Alumni Merit Award at the university’s inaugural Evening of Honors Alumni Award Ceremony in Omaha.
Millea has served as a family nurse practitioner at Methodist Hospital’s Renaissance Health Clinic for more than 20 years, and is an advocate for legislation that supports women who are victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking.
She has served two terms on the Creighton University's College of Nursing’s Alumni Advisory Board, her second term concluding with a run as board president from 2011-2015.
The award honors men and women who live life with high moral standards, guided by the Jesuit ideal of “women and men for and with others.”
These passionate leaders touch and enrich lives, encouraging and inspiring others while they serve selflessly and leave the world a better place.
