When Eli Wayman, MD, decided to pursue a career in health care, specializing in family medicine seemed like a no-brainer.

“I like to know as much as I can about medicine,” he said. “I didn’t want to choose a specialty that would keep me from experiencing a variety of conditions.”

Dr. Wayman sees patients at Methodist Physicians Clinic and has a special interest in endocrine disorders. He’s passionate about building close relationships and providing expert, collaborative care.

“I have found that patients care about what you know, but, more importantly, they want to see that you care. I’ll absolutely work hard at making sure they get the care that they deserve, but I also expect them to be active participants in their health.”

He’s proud to be part of a patient-centered health system and believes The Meaning of Care is what sets Methodist apart.

“To me, The Meaning of Care, explains Methodist’s priority of working diligently on a daily basis to define itself as the model health system for others to follow.”

Dr. Wayman enjoys music and plays guitar in his free time. He also likes watching movies and staying active in the gym.
