Health system launches new podcast ‘The Pulse: Health Insights from Methodist’

Methodist Health System is excited to announce a new podcast featuring Methodist providers discussing their areas of expertise.

“The Pulse: Health Insights from Methodist,” which is available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts platforms, gives patients, families and visitors another tool to connect with Methodist and learn about the health system's medical innovation, expertise and compassionate care.

In the first episode, Andrew Coughlin, MD, a head and neck surgical oncologist with Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center, discusses a range of topics, including:

• Why the number of head and neck cancer cases is increasing
• What makes head and neck cancers so challenging for patients
• The innovative, minimally invasive treatment approaches Methodist uses
• Methodist’s head and neck cancer care outreach to Fremont and Council Bluffs

Future episodes of “The Pulse” are expected to be released quarterly.
