KETV: DV Offender on the Run, Methodist Cases On the Rise

Published: July 9, 2015

Victim advocates said domestic violence numbers are on the rise. One hospital alone documents about 40 cases in one month.

Experts also said the abuse is getting more violent, violence that one family said nearly took the life of another woman just last week. Police said their suspect is still out there. Court documents said the man broke into his ex-wife's home and beat her, breaking her jaw.

While a woman lays helpless in a hospital intensive care unit, her family is on a mission. Darryl Chambers is wanted for felony domestic violence, a crime that police said he's committed more than once.

SANE/SART Coordinator, Anne Boatright, told KETV's Kristyna Engdahl, Methodist does provide a safe location for those seeking treatment following a domestic violence incident.
